The 2nd IEEE International Workshop on RF Integration Technology.

After the success of the 1st RFIT2005 held in the Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Singapore, the IEEE Singapore MTT/AP and SSC Chapters are encouraged to run this international workshop as a regular event. The 2nd RFIT workshop will be held in Singapore again this year to further explore the coalescing of microwave and microelectronics for the ‘ubiquitous wireless’ communications. The theme of the workshop is “Enabling Technologies for Emerging Wireless Systems”. The workshop is aimed to provide a forum for exchange of information on the latest developments in the areas of RF and mmWave IC design, and integration of wireless systems. RFIT2007 will be held in a tropical leisure haven, the resort island in Singapore (www.rfit2007.org).

In addition to oral presentations and interactive forum, distinguished researchers will be invited to deliver keynote speeches and invited papers on the technology trends, significant advancements and applications in areas related to the theme and scope of the workshop. Best papers will be selected and awarded.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the followings:

(1) mmWave and UWB
60GHz high data-rate WPAN and mmWave IC building Blocks, UWB transceiver architectures for emerging 802.15.3c & 4a.and implementation.

(2) Advanced RFIC and Software Defined Radio
LNA, Mixer, VGA, Filter, PA, VCO, PLL, Synthesizer, ADC/DAC, SDR architectures and building blocks.

(3) LPLV Wireless Systems and ICs, Wireless BAN, RFID and DVB/DMB tuners
LPLV transceivers, LPLV wireless sensor networks, power management for LPLV wireless systems, RFID reader and tag ICs, TV tuner ICs and sub building blocks.

(4) Modeling, 3D integration and RF MEMS
Compact and Spice Modeling; mmWave device models, 3D Module, RF SiP, MEMS filters and switches, BAW devices, MEMS/BAW and CMOS integration.

Electronic Paper Submissions and Deadlines:

Prospective authors are invited to submit their technical papers in English of four A4 pages as a final manuscript in standard IEEE Xplore PDF format. Invited paper is not restricted to 4 pages. The paper should emphasize their original contributions and key findings, and include important figures, diagrams and results from both simulations and measurements. References should be clearly cited. The paper should be submitted in its final format and, if accepted, will be published as it is. Submission of a paper implies that, for the accepted paper, at least one of the authors will have a full registration at the workshop.

Manuscript format and style can be downloaded from the RFIT official website: www.rfit2007.org.
