Prof Howard C. Luong

luongHoward C. Luong received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) from the University of California at Berkeley in 1988, 1990, and 1994, respectively. He currently is a full professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Professor Luong’s research interests are in RF, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems for wireless communication and portable applications. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II from 1999 to 2002.  He served as a technical program co-chair for APCCAS 2008, and he is currently a member of Technical Program Committees in many conferences, including CICC, A-SSCC, RFIT, and VLSI-DAT.
He was a co-author of the two books entitled “Low-Voltage RF CMOS Frequency Synthesizers” published by Cambridge University Press in August 2004 and “Design of Low-Voltage CMOS Switched-Opamp Switched-Capacitor Systems” published by Kluwer Academic Publishers in July 2003.
